The beautiful thing about the sports of baseball; you’ve never seen everything.

That statement was never more true than Saturday night inside Sewell-Thomas Stadium in Tuscaloosa, where trailing by a run to in-state foe Troy, down to their final out, the resiliency of this Alabama baseball team shined through, yet again.

"It's an older, very resilient group and they love each other. They love playing for each other and that dugout, they never think they're out of it", said Alabama Interim Head Coach Jason Jackson.

Top of the 9th inning, Troy leads Alabama 8-7. The Crimson Tide are down to their final out. Two men on, Tommy Seidl hits a routine chopper to short and that’s when chaos ensued.

"I do a little shimmy in front of the shortstop right there just to try and make something happen. I get to third base and then they throw it away and I go all out trying to score right there and try to take the lead", said Alabama outfielder Caden Rose.

"Nobody is really out of it until the 9th inning and as long as you're putting together good at bats and winning pitches, good things might happen", said Alabama outfielder Andrew Pinckney

It’s wild how everything can change in the blink of an eye. One moment the Crimson Tide are an out away from having to play in an elimination game on Sunday, the next moment, they’re comfortably in the drivers seat of winning their own regional. Alabama will play the winner of Sunday's Troy/Boston College game. With one more win, the Crimson Tide will win the Tuscaloosa Regional and will advance to a Super Regional for the first time since the 2010 season.
