A 14-year-old was killed and an 8-year-old was injured after an ATV overturned Friday afternoon in Cherokee County.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said the crash involved just one vehicle around 2:25 p.m. Friday on County Road 102, approximately two miles north of Cedar Bluff. ALEA said the teen was driving a 2017 Mahindra all-terrain vehicle when it left the roadway and road up a guy-wire before it overturned.
The 14-year-old was ejected from the vehicle and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment but was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
