Bessemer City Schools names new superintendent

BESSEMER, Ala. (WBMA) — Bessemer City Schools on Monday announced it selected a new superintendent.

The school district said it named Dr. Dana Arreola as its leader. Dr. Arreola was one of two out-of-state finalists for the position.

Dr. Arreola comes from the Aldine Independent School District in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Arreola has worked as the Executive Director of Leadership Development with the district since 2020.
